The Hartford expands two roles; Plymouth Rock's COO: Career moves

The Hartford expands two executive roles

The Hartford announced a new organizational structure to its technology and operations, and expanded roles for two executives. 

Shekar Pannala is the chief information officer and will lead technology and cybersecurity, infrastructure and cloud modernization. Jeffery Hawkins is chief data, AI and operations officer. He will oversee data, analytics and AI. 

Deepa Soni, former chief information and operations officer, has resigned from the company to pursue an external opportunity.

Christopher Swift, The Hartford's chairman and CEO, said in a statement: "Over the past several years, we have made tremendous progress on our Technology and Operations strategy, including digitizing processes, modernizing foundational technology infrastructure and investing in cloud, data and AI. Our new structure enables us to focus more deeply on our critical technology-and-operations priorities and build on our competitive advantages."

Beazley Security's new chief product, technology officer

Francisco Donoso was promoted to chief product and technology officer at Beazley Security. He joined the company in 2023 as CTO.

Alton Kizziah, Beazley Security CEO, said in a statement: "Francisco has an expansive background in cyber security and has been a key part of the Beazley Security transformation story over the past 20 months. He helped define a long-term product and service strategy – one that sets Beazley Security apart from more traditional cyber security solutions providers. I'm excited to have him further apply his industry vision and innate ability to deliver as we continue to conceive new solutions for our clients."

Crum and Forster announces deputy chief information security officer

Crum and Forster announced Chris Livingston, who joined the company in 2022, as chief information security officer. Livingston will be responsible for cybersecurity strategy and the protection of business operations and client data. He was previously the business information security officer. 

Christopher Holden, chief information security officer for Crum & Forster, said in a statement: "Chris's expertise, leadership, and strategic vision have been instrumental in advancing C&F's cybersecurity initiatives. In addition to expanding his responsibilities for the oversight of key security operations, Chris will direct the Security Operations and Engineering team and the Identity and Access Management team." 

Plymouth Rock appoints COO

Plymouth Rock Home Assurance named Kevin Zygmunt as chief operating officer. Zygmunt will oversee marketing, underwriting, service and claims teams. 

Bill Martin, president and CEO, Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation, said in a statement: "Kevin's experience in strategic management and marketing are an ideal match for Plymouth Rock. We hire talented leaders with rare intelligence and energy to make things happen. We are achieving great things, and Kevin acts as a force multiplier."

Joseph D'Agostino joins NFP as senior vice president

NFP has announced that Joseph D'Agostino has joined the company as senior vice president of its P&C business in the Northeast region. D'Agostino has specialized risk and insurance expertise based on nearly 20 years of experience helping companies navigate IPOs, acquisitions, and complex risks, has more than a decade as a senior vice president at Aon. He will report to Daniel Rodliff, senior vice president, P&C, and be based in the company's New York office.

"I am thrilled to join NFP and support the company's continued growth," said D'Agostino. "With NFP's proven, integrated middle market service model supported by the analytics and diverse global resources of Aon, I believe there's a tremendous opportunity for companies and private equity firms who operate outside of the Fortune 500 to leverage our platform to better manage risks and enhance returns.
