Pacific Life hires new chief information, digital officer from USAA

Pacific Life announced the hiring of Mary Beth Eckert as executive vice president and chief information and digital officer. 

Eckert will be responsible for enterprise-wide technology and digital strategies at Pacific Life. 

President and CEO Darryl Button said in a statement: "Mary Beth's extensive experience in the insurance and financial services industry, coupled with her strong track record of leading technology transformations with demonstrated ability in leading high-performing teams, will play a critical role as we continue to grow our digital capabilities."

Eckert was previously the senior vice president, chief information officer, corporate & insurance services at USAA, where she was a Digital Insurance Women in Insurance Leadership honoree in 2019. She has also worked at Travelers Group, PwC and Zurich North America.
