Northwestern Mutual appointed Jeff Sippel as executive vice president and chief information officer, succeeding Neal Sample.
Sippel will head the technology organization responsible for advancing Northwestern Mutual’s technology architecture, infrastructure and cloud services, reliability, service support, and information risk/cybersecurity. He also serves on the company's senior executive leadership team.
Sippel joined the company in 2019 and previously served as vice president for client experience, leading the company’s digital and financial planning strategies.

Sippel’s previous work with other companies included serving as chief technology officer at Acorns, a micro-investing technology company, and at Edo Interactive, which provides transactional data analysis to financial institutions.
