Nationwide names lead to its new P&C Business Performance Office
Nationwide announced
The newly formed P&C Business Performance Office will work with Nationwide's P&C businesses to identify common approaches, tools and best practices across the P&C organization.
Mark Berven, president and COO of Nationwide property and casualty, said in a statement: "Jen brings a data-driven approach to business transformation and a leadership style that fosters collaboration and innovation which makes her the perfect choice for this role. We look forward to the impact she will make as we continue to build on our strong momentum across the P&C organization."
Lavey adds to his portfolio with COO role at The Hanover
The Hanover Insurance Group has named Richard W. Lavey as its first chief operating officer, establishing the role at the company.
Lavey joined The Hanover in 2004 and has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance and technology industries, including past roles at The Hartford and Travelers. He currently leads the company's personal lines and core commercial business, sales and distribution, corporate underwriting, marketing and risk solutions functions, and will continue those responsibilities.
As COO, Lavey will take on further development of The Hanover's business strategy, and drive integration between its business and technology departments.
Coalition promotes Henriques
Coalition, a cyber risk insurance company, has promoted Tiago Henriques to the new role of chief underwriting officer, from his current role as head of research.

Ascot hires McKeon for middle market casualty
Ascot has hired Christopher McKeon to lead its new U.S. Middle Market Loss Sensitive Casualty segment.
Previously, McKeon served as senior vice president, commercial casualty & risk management at Everest.
In the role with Ascot, McKeon will develop strategic and tactical initiatives for the middle market segment, overseeing product expansion, distribution management, and operational efficiency enhancements.
Willis hires Spinelli for transactional claims role
WTW's Willis insurance broking and risk management unit has hired Dom Spinelli as head of transactional insurance claims for North America.
Spinelli has 15 years experience in insurance litigation, most recently as head of contingent & litigation risk for North America at VALE Insurance Partners. He has also led legal risk insurance at Liberty Global Transaction Solutions, and worked as an underwriter and litigator in coverage disputes.
"Dom's extensive experience—spanning litigation, underwriting, and claims—gives him a unique ability to guide clients through the most challenging aspects of transactional insurance," said Simone Bonnet, head of transactional insurance solutions, North America at Willis.
NFP hires Weir for infrastructure, D'Agostino as SVP P&C
NFP, an Aon company, has hired Caleb Weir as senior vice president, construction and infrastructure, for the Central region, and Joseph D'Agostino as senior vice president, P&C. NFP is a P&C broker, benefits consultant, wealth manager and retirement plan advisor.
Weir joins NFP from IMA Financial Group, where he was vice president and client advocate, working with the construction and real estate industries. D'Agostino has nearly two decades experience with IPOs, acquisitions and other complex risks, most recently as partner in the M&A and transaction solutions practice at Willis Towers Watson.
Duck Creek adds Gen. Hokanson to board
Duck Creek Technologies has appointed Gen. Daniel Hokanson to its board. Gen. Hokanson will bring his leadership experience with development and implementation of strategic policies to the Duck Creek board.
Gen. Hokanson is a retired four-star general who was a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and chief of the National Guard Bureau, advising the President, Secretary of Defense and National Security Council. As chief of the National Guard Bureau, Gen. Hokanson led its response to the Covid pandemic, civil disturbances and numerous natural disasters.
Hokanson's role was sourced through an external board program operated by Vista Equity Partners, a global technology investor that specializes in enterprise software and a majority investor in Duck Creek.
Neptune Flood hires counsel, promotes three executives
Neptune Flood announced executive promotions and hiring of a new general counsel.
Matt Duffy has been promoted from managing director to president, Tom Wexler has been named chief engineer and Brad Schulz, Neptune's chief technology officer, has been named chief information security officer.
Alais Griffin, a founding member of Griffin Strategic Law Advisors, has joined as general counsel. Previously, she served as general counsel and chief ethics officer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and chief counsel for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, part of the US Department of Transportation.
Wexler joined Neptune Flood in May as a senior data scientist.
ReSource Pro hires Naquin to lead technology services
ReSource Pro has hired Paul Naquin as senior vice president and general manager of technology services.
Naquin joins the company from NTT Data, where he served as group senior vice president. He also served in executive roles for nearly 20 years at Capgemini, including as chief operating officer for North America.
At ReSource Pro, Naquin will lead a team delivering services to insurance organizations, including system configuration and enhancements, cloud and platform implementations, data and analytics, AI-powered automation, and production support.
Hall promoted to lead Western World
AIG has promoted Ray Hall to head of Western World, its wholesale contract bind solutions provider for property, casualty and garage segments. As Western World's new leader, Hall will drive and execute strategies for the contract bind market through its wholesale broker network.
Hall joined the company as national director in 2020 and has 27 years of experience in the industry. In his previous role, Hall transformed the company's contract bind franchise, leading initiatives in product development, enhancing underwriting discipline, attracting top talent, and strengthening relationships with wholesale brokers.
