MetLife adds new tech leaders

MetLife announced new hires to its global technology and operations organization. 

Tamar Shapiro will join MetLife as chief data and analytics officer and Dan Antilley will be the chief information security officer.

Tamar Shapiro

Shapiro was most recently a partner of data science and AI at TZP Group, a private equity firm, where she used data and artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. From 2017 to 2022, she was the head of analytics at Instagram, where she led a team of data scientists and engineers in driving growth and engagement. She also spent 12 years at American Express, where she was the head of the digital analytics team. She will be based at MetLife's New York headquarters.

Dan Antilley
Dan Antilley

Antilley joins the company from NCR Atleos, where he was the chief security officer. He also worked at Bank of America leading its cybersecurity operations, cyber forensics and its incident response program. Antilley will be at MetLife's Global Technology Hub in Cary, North Carolina. 

Bill Pappas, MetLife head of global technology and operations, said in a statement: "Tamar and Dan are examples of the top talent we continue to attract to MetLife.
