Insurtech Buckle hires AIG, PURE vet as new CIO

Buckle, an insurtech known for its rideshare coverage, has hired two new members to the technology side of its executive team.

Adam Landau is the company's new CIO. He last was SVP and CTO for PURE insurance; before that he was VP and CTO for AIG. Landau studied at Penn University and received his bachelor's degree in Management Science and Information Systems.

“I look forward to building out our data platform, enhancing cybersecurity, and supporting partner integration in order to provide superior and secure financial products to drivers of the gig economy," he says.

Paul Lautenshlager also was hired as head of operations and distribution for Buckle. He spent 23 years at USAA, with the most recent position as AVP, Banking & Insurance Solutions.

“Their extensive insurance and banking experience will allow us to build out the digital assets that will give our members easy and secure access to comprehensive, affordable, and reliable insurance and financial products to bring them peace of mind," says Buckle co-founder Marty Young.
