Digital broker Acrisure looks to Hollywood for innovation chief

Acrisure, a digital insurance broker, has hired Matthew Marolda as is first chief innvation officer.

Marolda is responsible for "business and growth opportunities aligned with Acrisure’s artificial intelligence (AI), data and technology platform," the company says in a statement. Acrisure reported a more than $3 billion capital raise in late March. Last year, it acquired the data science, AI, and machine learning operations of Tulco, a holding company that also has capital and management practices.

Marolda was a member of Tulco's executive leadership team. also was chief analytics officer for Legendary Entertainment, a film production company that works often in conjunction with Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures. He also previously has been president of WarnerMedia's applied analytics division.

“Given recent investments in our AI platform and the creation of the Acrisure Technology Group, we will benefit from a leader dedicated to connecting innovation, business opportunity and our tech-enabled strategy,” said Greg Williams, Co-Founder, President and CEO of Acrisure, in a statement. “Each day we are making strides in the way we use and deploy AI, machine learning and robotic processing to unlock growth, enhance client relationships and drive efficiencies. Matt’s deep expertise in these areas will help us execute on new opportunities and champion innovation in every facet of the company.”
