AmTrust Financial Services has appointed Ariel Gorelik senior vice president and chief information officer.
Gorelik most recently served as chief operating officer of AmTrust’s AMT warranty division. He succeeds Christopher Longo, AmTrust’s current EVP and COO, who previously led the insurer’s global IT operations since 2006. Gorelik will report directly to company Chairman and CEO Barry Zyskind.
“AmTrust has always led with technology and innovation, which has been a competitive differentiator for us,” said Zyskind, in a statement. “Under Ariel Gorelik’s leadership as CIO, we will continue to harness the power of our technology platforms and digital capabilities.”
Gorelik joined AmTrust in 2014 as SVP of the firm’s North America operations. Past roles for the 15-year industry veteran include management positions at Zurich North America and Allianz Group. He now assumes control of AmTrust’s tech organization with more than 400 developers at his disposal.
