AIG has used Duck Creek policy in some of its lines of business in the past, but this deployment will "dramatically increase" the number of units operating under Duck Creek, a spokesperson for the vendor says.

The insurer was not available for comment by press time, but said in a release that the goal is to use the system to help unify the company globally and power better digital experiences for customers on modernized platforms, an intitiative called AIG 200.

“Duck Creek’s SaaS cloud solution is a core component of the enabling technology we are deploying to support our global underwriting platform,” says Peter Zaffino, AIG CEO. “Specifically, it will allow us to achieve the new digital experience we want for our customers and distribution partners, drive enhanced data insights to support underwriting excellence, and improve the efficiency of our operations.”
