Zurich has announced that it will move its enterprise IT infrastructure to Amazon Web Services. The global insurer will move 1,000 applications to AWS through 2025, using RISE with SAP to assist in the migration and implementation. "We want to help our retail customers lead safer and healthier lives, and bring our business customers peace of mind, by using the power of digital technologies to meet their evolving needs," said Zurich's Ericson Chan, Group Chief Information and Digital Officer, in a statement. "Working with AWS will transform the way we bring solutions to market and enable us to make the most accurate and up-to-date insights available to our customers. We look forward to using the new AWS Region in Switzerland to support our regulatory reporting requirements."
Augusta Mutual Insurance Company has selected  the Betterview Property Intelligence & Risk Management Platform to assist its risk selection and property-condition analysis. "We need to be able to analyze and manage risk for properties across the state – many of them in isolated rural areas. The Betterview combination of high-quality aerial imagery and computer vision insights allows us to do so without overly relying on in-person inspections," says David Johnson, president and chief executive officer at Augusta Mutual, in a statement.
Coalition, a cyber insurer that has been operating as an MGA, has launched its own insurance company. Coalition Insurance Company was made possible when the company acquired Digital Affect last year. The new company will begin quoting in select states starting in March, with national rollout by the end of the year.


Millennial Specialty, a subsidiary of BRP Group, has selected Milliman Bungalow for flood insurance rating. The product includes product design, rating, underwriting and capacity management, feasibility and market strategy, and filing and regulatory compliance capabilities. "The solution was a natural fit for our needs since we launched our differentiated private flood suite of products to fill the massive flood protection gap in the United States," said Rajiv Mata, managing director of Millennial Specialty, in a statement. 


Progressive has signed on with Zendrive's Insurance Qualification Lens program, which embeds a driver-safety analytics platform into consumer apps. Identified safe drivers can be extended offers by insurers in the program. "We're excited to work with Zendrive to continue to make it easier for consumers to participate in Progressive's UBI program Snapshot," said Ed Graves, UBI Product Development Manager at Progressive, in a statement. "By joining this program, Progressive will be able to find and reward safer drivers by allowing them to conveniently share their driving data from consumer apps they're already using."


Sentry Insurance, a trucking insurer, is extending a 5% discount offer to companies that integrate their electronic logging device and dashcam data into Motive's Driver Safety Solution. Motive's platform detects and alerts drivers in real time of potentially unsafe driving behavior.  "Up front, our customers save money on their premiums," said Nick Saeger, Associate Vice President of Products & Pricing for Sentry, in a statement. "Long-term, the data we gather through Motive will help us bolster our safety programs and in-house claims service even further. Telematics data could also serve as the next pricing frontier."
