Nationwide has engaged CLARA Analytics’ software in its workers’ compensation claims department. The components include Triage, which helps managers monitor complex claims; and Treatment, which helps identify the most ideal health care providers for each claim. CLARA has scored providers in different specialties across multiple locations, the company says.

Mobilitas Insurance, a subsidiary of CSAA Insurance Group, is providing commercial insurance coverage for Cruise, which is building a fleet of self-driving electric cars for use in cities. Brokered by Marsh, the insurance agreement is a step towards a coming commercial launch for Cruise.

Cambridge Mobile Telematics' technology has been approved for use in Idaho. The company says its personal and commercial lines scoring models are now approved in 49 states and the District of Colombia. CMT's clients include many of the largest insurance carriers by market share in the U.S.

CCC Intelligent Solutions, a claims technology provider, has acquired Safekeep, an insurtech that developed a digital platform for subrogation. Terms were not disclosed. Safekeep applies a combination of machine learning, natural-language processing, rules, and predictive models to score and prioritize subrogation claims. It also has document digitalization and workflow automation.
