MassMutual's new head of product; Beazley's head of U.S. cyber: Career moves

MassMutual hires new head of product

MassMutual announced that Elizabeth Forget joined the company as head of product. Forget will focus on innovative protection, distribution and retirement solutions for retail, worksite and institutional customers. She joins the company from J.P. Morgan Asset Management where she was a managing director and global head of client experience. Forget also held leadership positions at MetLife, Equitable and Banker's Trust Company. 

Paul LaPiana, head of brand, product and affiliated distribution for MassMutual, said in a statement: "Liz is an industry veteran with deep knowledge of the broad spectrum of financial solutions MassMutual offers to our customers and financial professionals who choose to affiliate with us. Her expertise and impressive track record will be invaluable as we work to build and deliver innovative and competitive protection and wealth products that help our policyowners and customers achieve their financial planning goals and objectives."

Beazley appoints head of U.S. cyber

Melissa Carmichael, who was most recently at Aon, was appointed Beazley's head of U.S. cyber. Carmichael will succeed Patricia Kocsondy who will take on the position of head of global cyber digital risks in January. 

Paul Bantick, global head of cyber risks, said in a statement: "In an era of accelerating cyber threats it's crucial that we have in place leaders of Melissa's caliber and expertise, working alongside an experienced team to ensure that our clients have elevated cyber resilience. Not only is her appointment a testament to our ability to attract market leading talent, but it also denotes our commitment to bolstering our Full Spectrum Cyber global proposition and capitalizing on the opportunities in the U.S. cyber space."

CSAA names new CEO

Mike Zukerman will be the new president and CEO of CSAA Insurance. Zukerman has been interim CEO since last August. He previously served as the executive vice president and chief legal officer. 

Mary Hennessy, chair of the board of directors, said in a statement: "Mike has demonstrated excellent leadership while serving as the interim CEO. With a deep understanding of both the business and the importance of our AAA club partners, there is no doubt that he is the right person to lead CSAA Insurance Group moving forward."

Prudential hires head of distribution for group insurance

Prudential Financial hires Jon Trevisan as head of distribution for group insurance, effective May 20. 

Mike Estep, president of group insurance, said in a statement: "Jon is a seasoned leader with extensive industry knowledge that will help our team ensure we are driving impact and outcomes, strengthening customer satisfaction, and accelerating on our strategy in an evolving market," said Estep.

St. John’s University’s school of risk management names new associate dean and executive director

Henry "Hank" Watkins, regional director and president of the Americas at Lloyd's, will assume the role of executive director and associate dean of the Maurice r. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science (GSRM), effective November 1, 2024. 

Maciek Nowak, dean of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business, said in a press release, ""With GSRM well-positioned for continued growth, the search process focused on finding an effective leader who can steward its overall health, marshal a world-class Board comprised of top industry executives, and build on the School's success. I am confident we have found that leader in Henry "Hank" Watkins Jr."
