The Hanover has launched the Small Business Digital Exchange Gateway for its agents. The gateway is a collection of insurtech platforms for connected agents to the insurer, including IVANS Distribution Platform, Applied Epic Quotes, Tarmika, Semsee, Vertafore, Insureon and Verisk. Agents looking to place business owner's, workers' compensation and management liability policies in many of the company's commercial lines states will be able to use the gateway, it says. "This new capability complements our existing TAP Sales system, which provides direct access to The Hanover's small commercial, marine, and professional and management liability products. Agents now have a choice to either access The Hanover directly through TAP Sales, or utilize the new Small Business Gateway, offering great flexibility and ease of use," says Richard Lavey, president, Hanover Agency Markets, in a statement.

New York Life has partnered with the insurtech Human API on electronic health records. The company says the partnership will allow it to retrieve "consumer mediated electronic health records (EHRs) in the form of normalized digital health data," with the goal of reducing friction in the application process.
