InsurTech NY will be accepting applications for its growth-stage InsurTech accelerator from July 7-August 2. The accelerator will offer insurtech support for market traction, recruiting talent and raising funds. "The InsurTech NY program is built for the moment in time when startups are transitioning from surviving mode to thriving mode," said David Gritz, InsurTech NY Managing Director, in a statement. "InsurTechs from our past cohort have gone on to raise over $100 million in follow-on funding and find fruitful partnerships with our carrier and broker partners. This cohort will have the same opportunity."
Holmes Murphy announced the appointment of three new executives. Ellen Willadsen, after ten years in the role of Chief Financial Officer, will be Holmes Murphy’s first Chief Innovation Officer. Lindsay Chase, who joined a subsidiary of Holmes Murphy in 2006, will become the Chief Financial Officer. Susan Hatten, who joined Holmes Murphy in 2014, will become the Chief Marketing Officer. NEXT Insurance appointed Eran Liron as the company’s first Chief Strategy Officer to lead mergers and acquisitions, strategic business development and corporate strategy. Before joining NEXT, Liron was NICE’s Executive Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development. "Eran's expertise will be pivotal in helping NEXT achieve its goal of becoming the number one small business insurance provider in the U.S.," said Guy Goldstein, CEO and co-founder of NEXT, in a statement. "Our M&A strategy will be an important cornerstone to achieve our continued growth and will bolster our one-stop-shop mission to better serve our small business customers."
