The JUST 100 annual ranking of U.S. companies assesses the performance of the largest publicly traded firms on the issues that best define just behavior in commerce today.
Six insurance companies made the rankings, with Principal ranked the highest at 11 out of 100. Of these six companies, four also made the ranking in 2024.

To determine the rankings, JUST polled a sample of the American public to find the 17 issues that matter the most in just business behavior. These were ranked in order of priority based on the survey. Issues include pay, safety, communication, benefits and more.
Each issue was assigned to a weighted stakeholder category that it impacts the most: workers, customers, communities, the environment, or shareholders and governance. JUST then determined how well companies scored across these stakeholder categories to produce an overall ranking.
