Allstate and its mobility data and analytics partner Arity recently ranked the 100 most populous U.S. urban areas by driving behavior, based on factors including phone handling, high-speed driving and hard braking, with a low score indicating safer driving behaviors. To determine the rankings, Allstate averaged the scores of the three factors and ranked the cities from lowest score to highest score.
The top city in this ranking of safest drivers, Honolulu, brakes hard the least, as well as speeds the least. The city with the riskiest drivers is Albuquerque, New Mexico, which ranks high in hard braking, as well as phone handling while driving.
